Driveways – New Legislation
As an installer of block paved driveways we have been guilty of paving over numerous front gardens in order to gain the additional parking spaces required by our clients and in doing so have added to the problem of surface water run off and flooding.
As of October 1st 2008 new legislation requires homeowners to either use new permeable paviers known as `SUDS` or `Sustainable Urban drainage system`, or seek Local Authority permission prior to any installation taking place.
